2011 marked the 200th anniversary of Bath Racecourse and saw record attendances, proving that horseracing remains close to the hearts of the people of Bath.
Bath is the highest racecourse above sea level in the country and enjoys a beautiful position on Lansdown Hill, overlooking the picturesque Roman city.
Bath is a flat track, and therefore races from April to October. However, the racecourse remains open all year round and hosts a range of events. During the racing season some of the calendar highlights include Ladies Day and the annual Cider Festival which in 2011 featured live music from The Wurzels, while fun runs, wedding fayres and Christmas parties are all regular features after racing stops.
The racecourse is also a popular conferencing and events venue, ideal for weddings and special occasions and with a variety of suites catering for 4-400 people as well as unlimited free parking.
Whether you’re a racing fan, looking for a day out with a difference, entertaining clients or planning an event, Bath Racecourse can help make sure you enjoy a day to remember.
