Northern Racing is a leisure and entertainment business.
Our core product has always been horseracing, but now with Parklands Golf Course in the North East and also ever increasing non raceday business are priorities are to ensure that we provide seamless customer service whatever your needs may be.
Our racing product consists of:
- Customer Participation
The opportunity to come racing and enjoy the sporting and social experience. We invite children under 16 when accompanied by an adult to enter the racecourse for free, and with many of our racedays themed there is something for everyone, whether it be Ladies Day or Carribean Night there is something suitable for all. - Hospitality
The opportunity to entertain customers with our excellent value hospitality packages, guests and friends in an enjoyable, exciting atmosphere. Horse racing lends itself exceptionally well to corporate entertaining due to the short bursts of excitement during racing and the gaps in between giving you plenty of time to network. - Sponsorship
The opportunity to promote your brand, goods or services through the excellent exposure of race sponsorship and advertising hoardings.
The excellent geographic profile of our courses, gives us genuine appeal to national companies, whilst offering customers a wide range of opportunities through individual, regional and local initiatives.
Each course is a unique and versatile venue, which although specialising in horseracing, accommodates many other commercial and leisure activities.
When we are not racing, our courses are increasingly being discovered as superb venues for conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, banquets, weddings and outdoor events.

Our aim is provide quality racecourse venues and competitive racing for all of our customers (which very much includes Owners and Trainers).
Our racing policy is to stage competitive horseracing, framing the races in accordance with the existing status of the horse population and supported by competitive prize money.
We support our basic racing product by running a number of feature days, defined by the prize money offered, not necessarily the grade of the race.
Tracking Investment
The racing surface plays a fundamental part in the racing process – essentially a good, fair surface will always attract runners, whereas extremes of going will always exclude a certain type of horse.
Consequently, the care, development, drainage and management of the surface are paramount.
