FONTWELL PARK RACECOURSE
Fontwell Park is one of the most intimate and friendly racecourses in the country. Situated in a corner of West Sussex between Arundel and Chichester, Fontwell Park’s unique figure-of-eight steeplechase course is a perfect venue for novice racegoers with uninterrupted viewing.
Fontwell Park has race meetings to suite all tastes in 2009 - there are high prize money fixtures such as Countryside Race Day in February when we offer more than £100,000 of prize money. At this meeting in 2009 we will be offering a record £60,000 for the totesport.com National Spirit Hurdle over two miles and four furlongs.
We have Family Days in March, May, September and October with plenty of entertainment organised for Mum, Dad and the children including fun fair rides, a pet’s corner, bouncy castles and face painters. Our popular evening meetings are known as ‘Parties in the Park’ when there is live music after racing. These take place in May and August (Ladies Evening).
We also have Super Irish Saturday in October and The Big Autumn Race Day in November which includes the popular long distance chase, the £25,000 Southern National as well as a Food and Drink Fair. We end the year with Christmas Party Race Days in December.
