With 30 race meetings spanning both the Flat & National Hunt Seasons, Newcastle Racecourse is one of the most popular turf tracks in the UK. As well as first class racing, High Gosforth Park Estate is home to the Brandling House Conference & Banqueting facilities, Parklands Golf Complex, Complete Football 5-a-side Centre, and the Border Minstrel Public House.
Newcastle Racecourse is a Grade 1 dual code track. Highlights of the 2010 racing calendar include the John Smith's Northumberland Plate three-day Festival, Matalan Beeswing Ladies Day, The Fighting Fifth Hurdle, totesport Eider Meeting and Guinness St Patricks Raceday.
