One of the country's friendliest racecourses, with a reputation for a warm, relaxed atmosphere and set in the beautiful Durham countryside, Sedgefield provides a peaceful and tranquil setting. The facilities are wonderful for one of Britain's smaller courses, although Sedgefield retains much of its old charm and character.

Sedgefield stages 19 Jump Racing fixtures during 2007 which span 11 months of the year. Highlights include The Durham National in May, featuring a card of Greyhound racing, The May Miss Durham beauty contest (qualifier for Miss England) and the popular Boxing Day fixtures.
